Hand-embroidered pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind creations – made exclusively for you over several days by several people. Unfortunately, this has its price: these pieces require careful handling and delicacy than machine-made items. That’s why it is essential to treat them with care right from the start and handle with the tenderness they deserve. 

Beads are, in fact, tiny glass tubes. This means they can crack or chip under pressure, from a fall or excessive weight. Please keep this in mind! 

Avoid leaving beaded pieces in direct sunlight for extended periods – depending on the colour, beads can fade over time. Whenever possible, store your pieces in a dust bag or in a cabinet away from light. 

Handwashing is the best way to clean beaded pieces. If that’s not possible, prepare the item carefully before machine washing. Turn it inside out, set the temperature no higher than 30°C, use the gentlest cycle and avoid using any detergents. Different beads react differently to the chemical agents in washing powders and gels (even ones made for baby clothes). I can’t guarantee the colour of the beads will stay unaffected after such a wash.

Bags with embroidery also need special care if you’d like them to stay with you for as long as possible. Whenever you can, avoid exposing your bag to heavy rain or snow, dropping it, sitting or placing heavy objects on it. Store it in a dust bag when not in use.
